Jill and Harold Rich made the pilgrimage from their home in Sylvania this morning to attend Mass, and receive a special blessing From Father Chris Jenkins, Parish Priest of St Canice’s on the occasion of their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Jill and Harold were married here in St Canice’s Church, Elizabeth Bay on 15th April 1963.

Both Harold and Jill were delighted at the warmth and congratulations received from a very friendly St Canice’s community. They were happy to share their Wedding photos, while Harold mentioned that this is the second Blessing they’ve received here since their marriage.

In 1999, they were invited along with all couples in the Parish Marriage Register, as part of Centenary Celebrations for the opening of St Canice’s in May 1889.

This reminds us that we will be celebrating 125th Anniversary in May of 2014. Time for more Community Celebrations!
