On the Feast of St Ignatius Loyola, the St Canice community welcomed students Luke and Peter from St Aloysius’ and Sam and Hamish from St Ignatius College Riverview, who were most eager to share of their personal experiences from their recent ‘immersion’ at the Railaco Jesuit Mission in East Timor. These mature young men spoke credibly and convincingly inspiring all at both our Sunday Masses.
They carried messages of thanks from Jesuit priest and doctor, Fr Bong for all the support that St Canice community has provided to Railaco Mission over the years. Bong wrote to me saying “i pray the boys can be God’s messengers…”, and indeed they were. The special ‘leaving collections’ at the three Masses raised $3,000. Thank you all.
