“The Trumpets Shall Sound”
A Tribute to the Women of St Canice’s
‘Women of St Canice’s’!
What does the idea of Mary and her “Yes” to God mean to each of us?
In Mary’s case it was to carrying the Christ child, not born from a human encounter, but God’s encounter with the woman.
We may think it’s us saying the “Yes”, but can we dare to imagine that our ‘yes’ is only in response to God’s desire for us?
None of us of has any idea what a ‘yes’ means for another: what will be required, what we will need to relinquish, what fears and doubts will arise, what darkness and joys we will face. But we do know that Mary ‘pondered many things in her heart’.
In this video, we pay tribute to ‘The Women of St Canice’s’ who have contributed to our very special community down through the years.
God bless all of them!
