Our parish offers radical hospitality to those who are searching for community here and beyond.
PARISH COMMUNITY
St Canice’s is an open, inclusive and welcoming community, and we are proud of the variety of people who make up the church that we know. Our parish community is only as strong as its hospitality to those who are hungry and struggling.
For 35 years, our kitchen has provided daily food and support to those experiencing homelessness and social exclusion. Powered by over 400 volunteers, we serve nutritious, cooked meals for upwards of 150 guests each day.
For nearly 20 years, we have supported our sister parish in Railaco Timor-Leste through a feeding program providing nutritional meals to children, a mobile medical clinic, and an education program through the Jesuit-run secondary school.
